The food was just OK and a bit over priced. The server was as polite as he could be but stretched very thin. My food came out very quickly which was much appreciated.

Unfortunately, I went to the Jules restaurant at the Trim Hotel yesterday (26/04/24), where the waitresses are completely unprepared for the job, they don't know what they're doing there. My friend and I ordered our drinks after many, many attempts. When the drinks were delivered we already knew what we were going to order, but even so the waiter said "he would come back" to take our order, which didn't happen. After many, many attempts, we managed to place our order, so we relaxed, because the place is TENSE.
When we were starving, after 45 mins of waiting for our order, we tried to talk to the "clumsy staff" of the restaurant, and realized that our order never made it to the kitchen. All the tables around us had already eaten their dessert. Then the manager intervened, belatedly, as flustered as all the staff. Everyone "banging heads" with no idea what they were doing in that place. I got the distinct impression that they were "random people" trying to figure out how to work in a restaurant. Lamentable! I don't recommend this restaurant and I won't return.

Unfortunately, during your recent visit we were in transition of opening a new outlet within the hotel, however this is certainly not the type of service we wish our guests to experience.
We will use this as an opportunity to retrain our teams and review the way we engage with our guests, and to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Strangest experience. Last week, I reserved a table for three people at 1.30pm. Got a confirmation email, followed by another reminder email the day before the reservation.
Showed up and was informed that the restaurant doesn’t open until the evening and I shouldn’t have been able to make a booking. The woman was apologetic, and suggested we try the cafe in the hotel.
However, my pregnant wife and I had travelled 2.5 hours to bring my 86 year old father to ^this^ particular restaurant.
As of today, the reservation system is still accepting reservations for a closed restaurant.
Surely the restaurant manager checks the reservation list for their restaurant that day? We could have been contacted to say that the reservation was accepted in error.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but yesterday evening, I received an email asking for a review of my experience - so here it is!
The only saving grace was the cafe in the hotel which had good food and very pleasant staff.

Our Reception Team did bring this to our attention and it is an error on our booking system that we are trying to rectify. We very seldom open for lunch but the system seems to have opened itself.
